Warm, ripe dark and blue fruit, which is nicely balanced with sufficiently fresh acidity. A bit of earthiness gives some depth. First and foremost a very satisfying glass of wine, proving that there's plenty of drinking pleasure to be had in Burgundy for less than 20 euros.

At Noble Rot Wine pub in London; Light and fruity pinot, very straight forward and easy going. Not much complexity or concentration, but great purity and typicity for the grape.

Just the faintest bit of reduction, blowing off quickly to reveal a very red fruited wine, cherry, cranberry are there, but it is raspberry that sails though on the surprisingly long finish, 30+ seconds. It is weightless and fine, but oh so concentrated and focused. There is a bit of dried flower and maybe just a shade of cinnamon as well. This is very complex for a bourgogne and indeed the finest I have had. If this were still available, I would be buying it by the case as I believe it will age quite well.

Dark fruited with good body and balanced acidity. Hard to put down the glass Goes well beyond the sterotype of the vintage.
