Clear ruby color with wild strawberry and flowers on the nose. Bright cherry and raspberry with slight earthiness in the mouth. Moderate acidity and a bit more alcohol than I'd like. Light to medium body though good structure and plenty of tannins to last several more years. This reminds me of a lighter version of Clos de Vougeot. Excellent now and over the next 3-4 years if stored properly.

What a difference a day makes. Popped and poured on night 1, wine was very hot and closed. Did not taste at all like a Pinot. Tasted like a young Cab without the tannins. Just stuck the cork back in and revisited the next night. Wonderful wine at that point!

I served this in my wine course. Even a bit riper than the Beaux Freres Willamette, and a bit too much so for my tastes. Cherry cola nose. Rich round mouth. Sweet tannins on the slightly hot finish. Not my style at all, but even for the style seems a bit overdone.

Needs time. A little syrupy. Not melvilles best. Disjointed
