  • My first impression is that this wine is a little thin. When you swirl and give it a chance, it is still thin, but quite competent, especially considering the value price tag. The color is deceptively dark considering the lightness on the palate. The nose is light black cherry and some alcohol. When the fruit hits the palate, it is light, but easily recognized black cherry and red raspberry with a really nice compliment from cocoa amd mocha. Barely medium bodied, but the natural elegance has an expression of it's own. Not tannic, or oaky. Mild acidity that tells us to enjoy now. The finish gets interesting with maraschino cherry supported by some graphite, cola and road tar that grows on you as you drink down the glass.
