Decanted about an hour before drinking. Dark purple. Powerful floral nose. Full bodied aged beautifully. Typical aged Coonawarra cab sauv. Beautiful to drink.

Another absolutely perfect bottle bought at auction for the princely sum of $20. An absolute delight from start to finish. Cool menthol, bramble and spice on the nose. A gorgeous, long palate of dark fruits, cedar and tobacco, but with still held together by lovely fresh acid and sparkling tannins. Will leave my final bottle for a few more years.

I do like it. It’s gone a bit porty heading towards christmas cake. Much better on the nose. Darker slightly stewed fruits like in a christmas pudding/cake - in a good way. Still showing some fruit. Pretty nice. Tannins very soft now. Actually still drinking well. I might be mean on the score - some of this is tempered by it being “interesting” but still a drinker. I wouldn’t leave very much longer though. Still decent length. 90-92.
