I was a bit concerned about this bottle being past its prime, as the last CT review was from 2019 and CT drink by date was 2015. I have had this wine in my cellar since 2009 and finally found an occasion to justify opening it (note: Bern's used to have it available for $1100). It was such a treat. So rich, complex, soft tannins, and lingered in (on?) the palate for what seemed to be like minutes. Everyone at the table, which included the whole spectrum from wine neophyte to experienced lay vinophile agreed that this was one of the best cabs we have ever had. If you happen to still have a bottle, drink it soon (although I think it still has a few good years left).

Q1 - 2019 Tasting - 1995 Vintage Napa Valley (NYC): 12th/16 wines tasted double blind. Color on this was deep dark red. The palate was more red fruited in profile than dark (no blueberry or blackberry) and what was most distinctive for me was the spiciness of this wine - cracked black pepper. Good

Q1 2019 Tasting - 1995 Napa (The Apt): Wine #12: Generally a favorite wine of mine and so funny to see that it didn't at least have a few folks who voted for it. This had a bit more floral notes than most of the other wines. Created a bit of a 'pretty note' to it. Still again the fruit (which was more dominant than some of the others, perhaps esp so on the back of the Dunn which felt a bit faded) and a bit of spice. It came across as on the younger side. (0 pennies)

Amazing wine. well aged. perfect condition. On the nose, red fruit, leather, palate was silky but had a volume.

NR as no notes, do remember that this had oomph and was enjoyable, I did prefer the '94 Jordan but then others went toward this cab
