initially opened and I though it was seriously oxidized; however after about 20 -30 minutes it opened up; nice dried stone fruit; marmalade; just a little oxidized tase which I liked; I do think this wine can benefit from some air

A bitter sweet note as this is my last bottle of non ZH VT or SGN or basically, what would be construed as a dry table wine. And dry it was. Age as really chisled this Riesling into a pretty refined, highly terroir driven, and flat out enjoyable drink. While it still maintained the Domaine’s calling card of richness and power, I loved the almost peaty quality exhibited - very fresh - long on the finish. Heck, I’d further venture this has at least another 5 years of quality drinking ahead.

Absolutely singing. The combination of fruit and vineyard is breathtaking. The weight and depth are damn near perfect. Dry but loaded with extract. These wine are special and defy categorization. Wow. (97)

This is a great Zind-Humbrecht- it’s got all the characteristic extract and explosiveness in an off-dry package that’s perfectly balanced by the acidity. The palate has dried apricot, preserved orange peel, saffron, honey, and a bit of nutty oxidation. What a stunner...sometimes ZH can be a bit over the top but this is one where the style really works.

(Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Brand) Medium golden yellow color; big, complex, ripe and tart apricot, peach and mineral nose; poised, bright and rich apricot, peach and mineral palate with balance and cut; long finish 95+ pts. (starting to drink very well I think; significantly better than when I last had it two years ago)
(Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Brand) Intriguing petrol, sandalwood, very aromatic nose; tasty, big, solid stone fruit, mineral and chalk palate; long finish
