This is still drinking nicely. This bottle was not over the hill as some of the others reviewed here. Nose has some leather, dark red fruits, some spices. Like a mid class Bordeaux. Lovely fruit on the palate. Hints of prune but not pruney at all. Still some lip smacking tannins near the finish. Very pleasant to drink. I would never guess this as Italian. Reminds me of a good solid Bordeaux with some age. Lacking the depth and complexity that would put this over 90’for me. And there is a slight bitterness on the finish, though it does not mar the overall experience. PnP then a quarter left in the cellar for day two, which is the basis for the above note. This suggests this will last a few more years. Maybe some improvement for the next year or two? Will try to leave my last bottle for about two years from now.

This is drinking quite nicely. Some nice integrated fruit and some lovely savory flavors. Did not take detailed notes, so will not officially rate, but probably around 89.

Wish I had more of this wine. I pulled it out of the Science Closet and it was decanted before serving. It was in great shape. It still had its former big structure but had mellowed nicely with age. Its very ready to drink and most enjoyable. I think it will last a few more years if you are so inclined.
