Thanks, Gary V., for turning me onto this label! Medium ruby in the glass, with a nose of raspberries, red currant, blackberry, vanilla, oak and a touch of spice. On the palate this is nicely medium-bodied, with the aforementioned red/black berries, cassis, vanilla and nicely integrated oak tannins. It would appear that in the 9 months since the last note on this that the tannins have become considerably more well-integrated. Very nice, classic varietal character in this wine, and it was excellent with my grilled boneless ribeye steak. Definitely a winner at the $12 price point!
