  If I had this blind, I would never guess it was Italian (and it was a mistake to pair this with sausage and beans). Nevertheless, it is a unique and different expression of merlot, with more of a focus on its earthy qualities and less on the fruity characteristics more commonly associated with the variety. Which I guess does kind of make it Italian. Excellent QPR.

  Robe sombre à la couronne légèrement tuilée. Nez sur le bois exotique, la vanille, le cassis, la cerise. À l'attaque, les tannins sont bien présents mais tout de même intégrés. Belle concentration et équilibre. Arômes de cerise noire, de cassis, de sureau, de cuir, de torréfaction. Finale moyenne, complexité moyenne.
