Armand Rousseau Dinner: Reductive notes on the nose, with notable sulphuric compounds. Aerated for 3 hours in the bottle but it didn’t went away. Decanted and introduce oxygen in the decanter. After 2 hours in the glass, the sulphur notes went away slightly but still persistent.

At first meaty reduction meets meaty Gevrey and things are very meaty. Elements of beauty soon come to the fore and there's bright pomegranate and cherry fruits, plenty of mineral and a hint of earth. It has excellent depth and balance and whilst far too young it offers pleasure now.

2015 Tasting at Domaine Armand Rousseau: A very expressive nose of dark soil, black berries, dark cherries and coffee bean with a hint of violets. These aromas comes through the flavour profile on palate. The '13 acids are again prominent here. The Les Cazetiers has a long, mineral finish. A good example of the climat but I clearly preferred the '14. Cellar for 5+ years. (91-92)
