  First bottle from a recently purchased case. Pnp with chicken at home. Was not sure what to expect here, a producer not familiar to me and then Charmes, with its often rather inconsistent quality. But then this is really beautiful… A fairly dark garnet in the glass, fresh dark berries, almost creamy upon opening but gets more precise with some air, just a touch of oak on the nose while it’s nicely integrated on the palate already (tells you about the quality of the fruit as this is apparently 75% new oak). This Charmes for sure has GC weight and concentration. Tannins integrated as well. Medium finish.
  Very accessible already but will likely improve. The indicated drinking window here on CT makes no sense, this is just getting started with a long peak drinking window ahead.
