  • A really attractive Gevrey village - I enjoyed this very much. The nose was classic Gevrey, with just a nice little touch of burgeoning maturity on it, showing a touch of loamy earth floating around a core of ripe dark cherries and dried berries, surrounded by a little halo of spice and dried florals. Absolutely lovely. The palate was nice and soft, with velvety tannins and gentle acidity framing yummy flavour of dark cherries and berries, again seasoned with nice touches of spice and just a little hint of earth. A touch light, but not offensively so for a village wine - this did have a decent length and a good bit of character though. Really nicely balanced too. Drinking well now, with little upside to go; but very pleasant indeed.
