Easy drinking, cool fruit in the currant, plum and black cherries spectra, but of garrigue and licorice, almost no tannin, a tiny bit of heat. I don’t know, this is just bland and uninteresting to me. I hardly ever drink C9dP but when I do I never seem to like it, except for Pegau.
It’s a pretty well made wine I guess but when I find it so uninteresting to me, it is a hard to put a fair numerical score so I won’t.

A private lunch (Bistrot Le Bon Georges, Paris, France): Mainly Grenache, almost entirely raised in concrete. No Cuvée Vieilles Vignes this year, those barrels were also used for this basic cuvée. Fresh and glossy, bright Grenache fruit and garrigue, pure and spicy, rounded and elegant, supple and spicy, percaline tannins, very good resonance and length. Showing very well today.

Splash decanted, red fruits, herbs, some vegetation notes. Cousin Pudge sensed green bell pepper notes early on (which he did not care for) but as the wine settled after some time in the glass, gave way to a fine white pepper note on the finish. Very easy drinking CDP.

I prefer these fairly young as many of the older bottles I’ve opened have been porty, stewed, and advanced...this is fantastic right now and is very light and balanced with high acidity and low tannins.

Mooie lengte.
