Not a great Brune et Blonde and not close in quality to the 2010. Dark colour, ripe fruit but not a lot of tannins left to integrate, this lacked the concentration one would expect of a Guigal Cote Rotie.

A: Pale garnet N: Medium (+) nose of prunes, dried cranberry, dried and fresh black cherry, clove, black pepper, liquorice, some VA, earth wet leaf. P: Dry, medium (+) acid, Medium (+) ripe tannins, medium alcohol, medium (+) intensity, medium (+) body and long finish Suitabale for ageing. The structure (acid, tannin and alcohol) and concentration is going to carry this for a while longer. the wine is not outstanding. I should expect more concentration on both nose and palate

Really good PQR here. Classical Côte Rôtie notes with some white pepper, cherries, boysenberries and graphite. Medium bodied with good length it developed nicely over 2-3 days. Indicates further development should be no problem.

PnP, with notes of black pepper, bacon, and black raspberry on the nose and palate. Tobacco and plum notes slowly emerge with time. Felt on the verge of showing off over the course of 4 hours, but never quite got there. Tannic and tight, and likely a few years away from really firing on all cylinders.
