Lovely earthy nose with lots of red and black fruits and little thyme and oak spice. Palate is bursting with juicy red cherries, blackberries and plums, again more herbs and oak spice. Great balance and finish. What a great wine a little under the radar compared to its illustrious neighbour of #chateauneufdupape this does offer great value. £33 @harrogatewines although they’ve sold out, but you can pick up younger bottles elsewhere for around £20 and these sure are a steal. Well worth seeking out to try and #giveanewwineago #burgundynick 89 points

This bottle was much fresher than the one I had last year; no heat / obvious alcohol this time, instead beautiful stony minerality and bright, crunchy red fruits. Some chewy tannins as well. This bottle was more in line from what I expect from this great producer and vineyard. 16.5/20

Medium ruby, some purple in it, clear. Intense and very fruity nose, cherries, liqueur, slightly alcoholic, indicating great spyciness. Beautiful, warm red fruit on the palate, high intensity, but clear and "bright". Good acidity on the finish, with a nice minerality to it. Still some fine tannins, but nicely integrated. Bit too much heat overall. Love the sensation in the mouth after drinking. Not the best vintage of this wine, but very good nonetheless. Goes very well with a wide range of food. Ready to drink. 16/20

Delightful blend of Grenache 90%, Mourvedre 5%, and Clairette 5%. Light, fruity, and flavorful from the Grenache, with some backbone from the Mourvedre. Clairette I was not familiar with. It's a white grape varietal. It seemed to add a touch of acidity. Great food wine. Paired well with pork schnitzel. Probably not a lot of cellar development ahead. Drink up?
