  • We had to pnp at lunch. The nose was fruit with hints of leather. The palate was red and blue fruit, tobacco, leather and forest floor leading to a moderately long finish

  • We went to our local Italian BYOB for a late dinner. I opened this bottle two hours in advance and let it slow ox. It was much better than the last bottle I tried, not quite as good as the first time I tried a bottle but still a very good wine. The nose was fruit with hints of leather. The palate was red and blue fruit, tobacco, leather and forest floor leading to a moderately long finish.

  • This was a total disappointment after the the bottle I had last fall. Opened an hour and a half, recorked and took to one of our local BYOB's. The nose was fruit and leather. The palate was fruit, tobacco and leather. The finish was harsh and never opened up. We drank about half the bottle and then left it. Perhaps an off bottle.

  • Magical. A much stronger showing for both of us than the below reviews suggest. Fireworks of sweet red licorice, soft mint, and candied flowers on the bouquet with an exciting palate that stays wild and ethereally just out of reach, ending with a lovely seeds/ stemmy sense. Considerable complexity and still very drinkable. With two hours slow-ox and a 5 minute decant, these are drinking too well now to suggest holding. Now - 2025.

  • After finishing up the cake baking we went to our local Italian BYOB for a late dinner. I opened this bottle two hours in advance and let it slow ox. The nose was fruit with hints of leather. The palate was red and blue fruit, tobacco, leather and forest floor leading to a moderately long finish. Very enjoyable.
