Medium ruby. Berries and slate on the nose. The wine is light-to-medium bodied and dry. The palate features juicy flavors of raspberry, blackberry, plum, dark cherry, and boysenberry. Secondary notes of tobacco, earth, and pepper. Well balanced and still quite drinkable for a 2013. Fantastic QPR with every vintage.

PnP...Excuse me...swist and pour...till drinking quite nicely! A real solid value cellar defender...that just perhaps has earned a promotion into the front line of the actual cellar. Would buy another case.

From a demi. Deep purple, classic nose of a good CDR-village, without any French funk. Not as rich as previous years, but equally delicious. Nice balance of fruit, acid, and tannin. On second night, mellowed substantially to almost an old Bordeaux texture. This is one of the great weeknight bottles to keep around in volume.

Did not decant. Was OK, but might be a bit better if it airs out an hour or two
