PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -semi-translucent med red mild bricking -muted red apple peel some sousbois -med acidity, med/med- weight nicely sappy earthy fading red cherry with some mature sousbois, bitter element on med/med- slightly dried out tannins -quite decent actually and impressive for the age and appellation, more depth and intensity than the '93 tasted the same evening, not displaying as much maturity however more dried out

Came across with faint fruit, fading from the past, reminiscent of cherries and rasberries. Nice core of minerality on thealate. Gets better with a little air. An older wine that still stands on its own.

A few things you should know about this wine: - Straight from the producer's cellars, super clean cork. - It's $20 - It's a little lacking in fruit, but it's still a nice example of an older burgundy from a less heralded appellation. - It's still in great shape, most likely due to storage. Always fun to drink older wine that's well stored and has aged gracefully. Reminds me of drinking humble, older wines at The Place That Shall Not Be Named.

After all this time, this manages to hold onto its tart red fruit and rustic tannin profile. Too bad it was corked.

Really nice. Was very structured and alive for a 91. Still slightly tannic even. With some glass time this was a great approachable old burgundy.
