Jammy nose and a medium body lead to an above-average mouthfeel. Aging tannins indicate that it is past its prime but still provides a nice pair with lighter fares.

Cherry tobacco, cedar, rich fruit, and plenty of acidity. Outstanding now with years of pleasurable drinking ahead.

Dark crimson color, blackberry nose. Smooth finish and opened up over about an hour. I think it is ready to drink now. Wouldn’t wait much longer.

This vintage of Onyx isn't really integrating well. Flavors and varietals are fighting each other. Not sure more time will change things.
