Still going, believe it or not! Definitely faded after the first couple of nights but was decently enjoyable. A lot of complexity and undoubtedly a Rhone style Syrah rather any typical CA notes. I got earl Grey/black peloe tea, and a bit of bitterness like tea normally has. Then it moved on to red fruit, maybe tangy red fruit preserves? Certainly an interesting wine, and looking forward to comparing it with a 2013!

Fine and elegant, you certainly wouldn't place in California. Dense black cherry and blackberry with some smoky elements and hints of peppered mushrooms. There is a leaness to the palate, which is quite linear, but the layering of the fruit is very pleasant. A nice balance between fruit and secondary characteristics and in a very nice place at the moment. The tannins are fine and the acid ample, but I don't think the former are going to support this for much longer.

Quite nice with plenty of syrah-character, dark fruit and a bit of oak. Lean and slender on the palate with a good acidity and intensity. Maybe a tad expensive, but overall a very nice and easy drinking wine!

Integrerad ek, bra syra, medel tannin, rött kött, mera lik Rhone än nya världen. God
