I'm not convinced this needs to be consumed now as some have noted, but then again I have no other experience with this wine or producer. (When I tasted at the winery years ago upon release, this was my favorite among the lineup tasted at the winery.) 12.5% ABV.

  Thin and sour on opening. After an hour much better. Deep ruby in color some fruit and mild tannin remain. Drink up.

  Might be a little late to be drinking this, and we have a couple more bottles. Right now we have red fruit, acids that are good with food and not balanced by themselves. The tart flavors are overwhelming the good fruit flavor. There is a nice earth presence.
