Bright, deep, golden straw. Petrol, mangoes, mandarin orange, and apricot aromas. The candied palate is off-dry and spritzy, possessing tremendous freshness, good weight, lip smacking acidity, a lemon-lime middle, and a juicy, briny, slate-driven finish that features the flavor profile. This is impressive for its youth, purity, and vigor. Outstanding.

There's astonishing acidity here for a '99; I'd have expected this to be a lot softer but instead there's a nervy/racy aspect to the bright strawberry, citrus and apple fruit and a mineral undercurrent. This finishes almost halbtrocken with very little sweetness, and the lightness I'd expect from Kabinett.

Really refreshing and elegant with fresh green apple and pear fruit accented with cooling herbal elements and a developing smokiness. Comes across with a true Kabinett lightness of touch, with lovely acidity keeping it very delicate, precise and refreshing.

Amazingly this wine still had that burned match whiff when opened which would be consistent with this producer's reputation for using lots of sulphur and it took some time to blow off .
A classic Mosel though , faintly gold adding to the green on appearance .
A honeyed steely bouquet and lots on the palate , lime, honey again - very linear and good length. No hurry to drink this

Prum Wehlener Sonnenhur Dinner (Peach Farm, Chinatown, Boston): Pretty, moderately sweet, simple compared with the rest of the flight though certainly enjoyable.
