  • Consistent with a couple of other bottles opened the past few years, this has mature red and black cherry with baking spice hints. There was a little mustiness when first opened, but this became very enjoyable after 5 or 10 minutes, and held nicely until it was open almost two hours.

  • Even fresher and longer than my previous bottle from last month. Impressive entry level wine for its age. Best when first popped-and-poured, less interesting 2 hours later when finished.

  • I am slightly surprised this is still drinking so well 12 years on. Mature red cherry aromas and flavors with at least as much earth. Good spice in background. Everything is very good balance, making this very easy to enjoy for a mature Pinot.

  • Pretty, but not hugely expressive nose of roses, cherry, cinnamon and earth. Medium to full bodied palate with lots of silky cherry fruit and some pleasant orange rind bitterness on the surprisingly resonant finish. Very well balanced and attractive in style, but ultimately lacking depth and character. I didn't taste this on release, but really doubt this needed 5+ years in the bottle. That having been said, this is more than adequate for Monday night drinking.

  • Ripe cherries, earthy aromas on the nose. Strange mineral flavors on the palate. Bitter and metallic on the finish. Re-tasted after two days in the bottle. Smoothed out but bitter after-taste persisted. Not my style.
