  Clear mid to deep ruby crimson,
  Savoury, stone, stemmy aromas that yield to blueberry and black cherry.
  Quite a juicy entry with frozen blueberry, pastille, white pepper and a sour black cherry twist.
  The tannins start to build with a mineral-granite type texture that rises to a firm, dry chalkiness. Stem inclusion is notable, and the acid seems a little too sappy.
  Some weight gives volume in the mouth without depth and a core of blackberry paste that seems to play nicely with the acid. The wine is trying to be elegant, but the stems accentuate the acidity, and the wine lacks some appeal.

  C'est bien fait mais un peu trop rond à mon goût. Je le juge peut-être mal car il est jeune, mais pour moi, ça tire vers le merlot (mais un peu plus tannique) en barrique neuve...

  Deep purple. Less gamey and much more spicey than I expected. Plenty of tannins, has a nice life ahead of it. We ate it with bronzino, which countered the fat nicely, but might've over powered the fish a bit.
