  • No formail notes. Still going strong and a real pleasure. No real hurry.

  • Diskret, ren og lett utvikle duft av solbær, blyant, hint av tobakk. Myk og balansert i munnen hele veien. Ikke veldig kompleks men en god matvin. Drukket til tørrhengt entrecôte

  • Basic Pauillac, but in fact much better than its standings at least for this 2000. Beautiful and mature bouquet with good cassis, blackberry, smoke, earth and graphite. On the palate mature cassis, some spiciness, vanilla from the oak, beautifully fresh acidity and round tannin with still a good bite. Good length. Overall a medium to full bodied wine with good finesse and complexity. Ready now, but the tannin holds a promise for at least 3+ years. A lovely surprise!

  • Dark garnet color. Nose of blackberry, cassis, some wet stone. Similar on the palate with good depth of fruit, minerality, and tannin. Drinking well but should be fine for another 5 years or so. Lovely wine from a great vintage.

  • Opened at home in prep to serve with a piece of steak. Nose initially muted but then the Bordeaux-esq nose comes out with a touch of heat. On the taste, you get sour cherries, with a bit of leather, and a touch of tobacco. The wine is drying, leaves my mouth feeling very dry. Fruit has certainly receeded to the back maybe it was never that fruit forward anyway - seems to be common in the 00 Bordeauxs I've had. Will revisit with the steak.
Tasting it with the steak, the fruit is more evident. Its still a dry wine, smooth but not overly complex. A nicely aged Bordeaux more in the old world style and more of a food wine than a sipping wine.
