The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and prune. The body is medium. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. Taste of Black currant, very tannic, low acidity. The alcohol could have been more well integrated for my taste.

Nose: black cherry, smoke, cigar tobacco. Rose potpourri and orange. Palate: very smooth, medium body, high viscosity. Medium plus acidity, well balanced alcohol and slight sweetness. Very pleasant structure. Juicy strawberries, cranberries and blackberries. Nice smoke and a touch of tar. Rosemary. Finish: juiciness lasts, as does the smoke, tar and strawberries. This is an awesome value year-in, year-out. Nothing complex or dep, but a perfect mid-week wine and quite versatile at the kitchen table.

Robe violacée. Arômes de feuille, violette, épice, terreux, cerise, boisé et végétal. Besoin être décanté 1h. Un peu lourd et long en bouche. Manque un peu de finesse.

1/27/2016. This note has been edited. I determined that, after the second night of tasting, this bottle was corked. Below are my original Notes. I rated the bottle a 79 initially.
Color: dark purple hues. No translucency - like tar. Nose: slight fruit and cork. Flavor: very herbaceous; predominately cork taste with slight blackberry preserves and chocolate. Finish is slightly hot and lingers briefly.
Wine needs to air for some time, one hour or more.

Bad wine. Way to sweet, tart taste. All over the place. Just bad.
