98% S.B., 1% Viognier, & 1% Semillon with 53% from Alexander Valley; 100% fermented in s/s tanks; 13.5% ABV, 1.1 g/L R.S., 5.8 g/L T.A., & 3.35 pH; 114,000 cs bottled 1/12/15 & released March '15.
N: Grassy (1 taster said cat pee), but with tropical undertones
P: Med, poss MF, body; Rndish entry with decent frt on the front which quickly shows mid-P harshness that only somewhat mitigates by the LONG, fairly firm finish that takes until the VERY end to soften. IMO *markedly* better with food than as a sipper. (It went QUITE well with flour breaded, pan fried tilapia.) 86 pts WE @ $14, 85 WS, & Gold @ the '16 S.F. Chronicle Wine Comp. [As of mid May '19, wine-searcher still shows 1 vendor @ $18].

Paired nicely with Lemony Risotto with asparagus and shrimp. Used a little in the recipe and we drank the rest. Crisp and clean, citrus and grapefruit. Improved as it warmed up a little. Nice white wine for seafood. A little tart but just the right amount.

Not a big fan of domestic SBs, but I'd try this again.

Good nose that fades on the palate. Good acidity.

Grapefruit on the nose with less intensity on the palate. Marginal acidity but a nice wine for the price.
