  • "I'm not having a glass of wine; I'm having six. It's called a tasting and it's classy." (Chicago, IL): #14-07, 8% abv. From half-bottle. This shows the expected weight of the vintage, and while it's very clean (indeed, the botrytis doesn't seem to show any off notes here), this doesn't have the ethereal lift of better vintages. This drinks a little bit almost like a BA-lite with its generous botrytis notes and rounded, creamy qualities. I really would have loved to see a little more acid cut on this, and the fact that it's missing is what is keeping this from becoming a superlative sweet riesling.

  • Lovely honeyed perfumed citrus notes. Whiff of kerosene minerality but by no means overpowering. Smells so fresh and enticing. Smooth palate, lots of rich citrus peel marmalade. Wonderful sweetness through the core, balanced by a sharp and fresh acidity. Slips down so effortlessly and begs you back for another sip. Has definitely had time to shake off its initial puppy fat. Glorious stuff.

  • I took this to a higher end BYOB Mexican Restaurant. It paired excellently with well prepared dishes of mild-moderate spice. It could have handled higher levels of hot spice but perhaps not ones with bitter notes. I only wish I had more of this.

    - The nose was of fresh orange melon, ripe peach, honey and tropical fruit notes.
    - On the palate there were wonderful notes of apricot, ripe peach, papaya and honey all mingled. They were well integrated with the good acidity and residual sweetness of the wine. There is also a nice touch of minerality on this wine. The length of the delicious finish was extraordinary.

  • Great elegance, rathe light and playful style.

  • Hints of peach and tropical fruit on the nose but a little youthful muteness still. Medium sweet and still a little chalky. Tropical fruit, fine balance but this needs a bit more time. Try again in a couple more years some of the youthful sugar still needs to fade on this. 90+
