  Cork practically disintegrated while opening. Storage conditions haven't been ideal, so I was really expecting just to pour this down the sink. Colour was a dusty, light reddish brown. Left to decant for an hour and came back to a fully evolved Bordeaux. Strong nose of barnyard. Fruit has faded and the wine is definitely past its prime, but what remains is a still a pleasant drink with mainly sour cherries in the mouth and a tannin and acid structure that's still intact. Nice surprise.
