This wine is a bit bland on its own, and I wouldn't recommend it as a "sipping" wine, but it really sings with food. Alone, it smells a bit floral and the taste is reminiscent of watery pear and a hint of lychee. Then, we paired it with spinach and ricotta ravioli and roasted red and yellow beets and sauteed beet greens. The acidity of the wine really cut through the bitterness of the greens and toned down the sweetness of the beets and we really enjoyed it.

Keenan promotes this as a light blend for summer. My friends and I found it bland. It's not bad, but better wines are available for the price. The viognier and albarino seem to detract from the chardonnay rather than complement it.

I agree with Reblin's review on 5/19/2015. For the price, I was expecting a little more character.
