PnP. The ersatz "cork" slipped from the neck as if in a hurry to exit, followed by intriguing wafts of acetone, tamarind, roasted plums, greasepaint, and EchoSonic amp. A mouthfeel of blue velvet. Initially, the palate is rich and satisfying with dark red fruit and spice, but without quite the complexity of the nose. Drying tannins. At this stage, 20 minutes after opening, this is a wonderfully complex and unique wine. I shall withhold further judgement and check back tomorrow. Can't wait. *Night 2* The weird but enjoyable notes of glue and guitar amp are diminished, leaving dark red fruit and spices on both the nose and palate. At this stage it is quite reminiscent of Stillman's other high-alcohol Syrah-blend tour de force, The Colossus. A little hot and spiky, but still very satisfying. I shall save 250ml for tomorrow night. *Night 3* Nose: Dark fruit, cedar, alcohol. Palate: Dark fruit, alcohol, coffee, a hint of tar. Complex and hard to pin down. Did I mention it has a nice loooong finish? I'm sure this wine would be totally different again on night 4, but I can't make a wine I like last 4 nights.

Found a bottle hiding in the cellar, not unlike Elvis. Was definitely past its prime, but with a certain charm, not unlike Elvis.
