I like Bourgogne wines from Rugiens. This wine is still a bit young and will benefit from aging. Still you get a hint of a matured Bourgogne not found in young too fruity wines.

Tasting at the cellars; dark and earthy nose with plum and clay, hints of floral; tannins are a bit robust and doesn't quite have the concentration to fully smooth them out; good

Bouchard Père et Fils Premier and Grand Crus (Beaune, France): Dull red with fading. Ripe, candied cherry and game. Sweet, chewy attack, moderately large scaled and sappy mid-palate. It shows its inner Pommard at the end through slightly grippy tannins and earthiness. I would think that this will shut down at some point, but very enjoyable today.

Bouchard Père et Fils Cellar Visit, Tasting and Lunch (Beaune): Tasting at the domaine. Black are red cherry aromas with spice hints. All black fruit with anise and black pepper on palate. Meaty and dense, a bit of new protruded right now. Firm start-to-finish with very good concentration and length. Very good potential, just needs 10+ years in the cellar.
