  • really excellent BdB champagne.
good focus, lifted and rich. Doesn't have the complexity (or price tag) of a Krug MV, but provides exceptional value everyday drinking.

  • Popped at Chateau Davyd.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of toast, brioche, citrus lemon fruit. Youthful.
On the palate, some perception of sweetness (which I remember distinctly from the tasting from which I purchased this, and however, also JT telling me that the dosage for this isn't particularly high). High acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet citrus lemon drops, slight chalky minerality, brioche. Medium finish.
    Blanc de blancs.
Good quality. Pretty simple straightforward easy drinking champ. Don't think too much. Drink up.

  • Nice perfume nose with some complexity. Floral, citrus and some toastiness.
Fuller on body with nice brioche biscuity notes. Elegant mouthfeel, balance acidity and good finishing.

  • Bright golden yellow, subtle elegant nose along with citrus, apple, mineral, floral and toastiness.
Smooth and nice balance on the palate, with nuances of citrus and yeastiness. Drying finish with mineral. A simple but pleasant champagne.

  • A nice champer to start off the dinner. Very fresh, fruity... Medium-length'ed. This tasted more like a blend; Most couldn't tell that it was a Blanc de Noirs. Nonetheless, nice and refreshing!

Correction - JT just informed that this was a BdB; So it seemed my palate wasn't playing tricks on me afterall :)
