Medium lemon color. Nose of tangerine, chalk, wet stone and a hint of herbs. Flavors of citrus, slate/stone and tart apple with a strong underlying mineral note. The acidity on this wine is intense. Almost too much on its own but with food, it is perfect. Really fantastic wine.

A bit of fruit has faded, so now heading a bit more towards rustic profile; still nice acid, good chalk. Very refreshing, but hardly what one would think when contemplating "California Sauvignon Blanc".

The best SB coming out of Napa for under $50 (and this is closer to $30!). Pale white in color; light in body; nose of grapefruit and flint. Tastes of grapefruit, slate, and wet grass. 13.9% alcohol. Intense but energetic, this is more than a tremendous value; it is a fantastic wine - far better than the Spottswoode and Mondavi To Kalon, in my opinion.

Still every bit as luscious and chalky as before. There we go. Every bottle makes me glad to be on this list.
