Nice aromas but has softened on flavor quite a bit. Admittedly late to be drinking this bottle so I wouldn't fault the wonderful winemaker at Stag Hollow.

Yamhill Carlton Tasting Event (The Armory, Portland Oregon): Some earthy scents appear along with honey, clover flowers, and full rich blackberries. Cherry flavors hit immediately on the palate, and they linger long while acidity evolves to dry things out slowly. The oak is balanced very well at this point. The acidity makes the mouth water on the finish and makes it clear that this bottle has plenty of time left in it if you're inclined to hang on to it for a while. The fruit persists on the finish, which I really like. The length and structure here are rock solid. 91+

Spice and dark fruit show on the nose as well as a hint of gingerbread and some alchohol heat. The alchohol is present on the palate as well accompanied by some nice blackberry flavors and tannins that evolve and hang out for a while. The fruit isn't rich, leaving the evolving tannins a little rough and empty.

Old Oregon Pinot Noir RUMBLEMATCH (Dan's house): Creamy ripe red fruits in spades on the nose, I wrote this was "fat" on the nose. The palate presented the red berries and cherries along with a pleasant spiciness. Dusty, lengthy tannic finish. Strong acids present. My main complaint with this wine was the booziness, once someone pointed it out it was hard to get around. A very good wine overall. Scored #3 out of 8 bottles in voting.
