I tasted at Taster's Guild 2002 Burgundy Dinner on 09/18/07 at PS7's in Washington, D.C. with Wild Alaskan Salmon, Darne of Salomon with Cream Poached Pei Mussels and Malabar Spinach and Salmon Cru, had aromas of rubber bands and violets!
Deep ruby. Intense violet and cassis nose with insence, leather, vanilla and sage. Medium bodied. Smoothe but structured, a classic iron fist in a velvet glove. Extracted just right. Generous round tannins and a fruit filled finish. This was tasted after the bottle had been open for a day. NIce wine but be patient as this will be much better in 4 to 5 years.
