Opened but not decanted for over an hour at a "Little Brother Wine Night" with my wine group. The last bottle I had was more than 3 years ago and I think time has been very kind to it. I think it has years of life ahead of it, but with some breathing time, it is drinking very well now.

Fabulous wine, still showing very youthful tendencies, lovely balance of tanin and acid. Enchanting nose of blackberry and cedar. Palate of dark fruit and earth.

Soft and slightly sweet blueberry, slightest hint of cherry, with acetone edge more vanilla than leather and cedar. Quite soft on the tongue, savoury flavours bit of grass somehow…? And then warming finish with a hint of leather and then toast

This wine is so beautifully reserved. It is an elegant, understated Pauillac, drinking so smoothly right now. Classic lead pencil. Just another beautiful 2014. Classic Pauillac, but not big, more on the elegant side, a baby Lafite. Loved it, I've got another five in my cellar, I'm going to try to get ahold of another half dozen. I don't see why there is a need to age these beyond another five years, it is drinking beautifully now at the nine year mark. Rating: 95 points.

Still too young with potentials. Tannins softened overnight but forward flavors dominated with vigorous finish. It probably needs another five years aging.
