  A wine that is very worthy of the rating - well balanced with beautiful proportion and in the drinking window now.
  
  Quite a golden colour had me fearing that it was oxidised but grateful that I was wrong! The nose had a wonderful blend of white flowers, stone fruits and lime / lemon. Had hint of herbs and other spice notes that made it quite special. Lovely body that was clean and minerally, carrying the same flavour profile as the nose. Long and dry finish just leaves you wanting another drop. Gorgeous.
  
  Drink now or 6+ years.

  “Ten Years After” 2008 Dry Riesling Tasting (mostly Germany) (Private Location): The first word which comes to my mind when I think back to this wine ist harmony. Citrus, herbs, unripe yellow stone fruit, super fine spices and a hint of sweetness on the fantastic nose. Very complex and imo still holding back another layer underneath. On the palate this Kirchspiel delivers the nearly perfect balance between power and elegance. Very precise with a great acidity core and long finish. An absolutely stunning showing and in this tasting better than the same vineyard interpretation from Keller.

  10 years after Riesling tasting - 2008 (@home): Glass: Zalto Universal
  Bottle double decanted about 8h before, tasted blind in the evening and another glass on the next day.
  Clear, medium yellow golden color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose. Very dense and beautiful aromas of spices, yellow and white stone fruit and fine crushed stones. Really beautiful.
  Dry, medium++ racy acidity. 13 % abv. On the palate fine yellow peach, herbs, some pineapple and very elegant but powerful limestone rock flour. Lean, precise, crystal clear, lots of pressure. Long, lingering finish. This time certainly the better of the two Kirchspiels! Great potential for another decade. One of my WOTN. 94+

  Wittmann Kirchspiel Vertikale 2000-2016 im Concept Riesling
  Ich bin kein Wittmann-Spezialist. Aus diesem Grunde freute ich mich umso mehr auf die Einladung von Flo, an dieser einmaligen Vertikalen bei tollem Essen teilnehmen zu dürfen. Die Flaschen 2000-2003 waren direkt aus Philipp Wittmanns Keller. Getrunken wurde nicht blind.
  
  Ein sehr guter Vertreter seines Jahrgangs. Fein und filigran. Schöne präzise Säure bei feiner gelber Pfirsicharomatik. Dazu Marille und Ananas. Da wird noch was kommen. 93
