Believe this is listed as both Meyer and Hestan Meyer so posting notes to both. Brought as a mystery wine to a Purlieu and Memento Mori tasting (young monster 15-16s) - 2+ hour decant certainly helped as it was exceptionally smooth drinking w/air, loads of deep dark jam-berry and cassis fruit with mocha and tarragon finish. Crowd was impressed and few could guess other than vintage and Napa. Found for $50 so pleased w/QPR. May last 1 - 3 more years but no need to delay the enjoyment.

Color: Nose: Blackberry and Currant; Similar to Merlot Taste: Heavy Blackberry and Jammy Currant Upfront; Mocha Middle and Big Tannins with Acidic Finish; Dark Chocolate Lingers with Mocha and Pepper Spice; Aeration Totally Mellows the Finish and Smooths the Acidity and Brings the Fruit to Attention Comp's: Good Pop and Pour Wine with Heavier Meats; Mellowed with Air and Time; Similar to Valley Fruit in the $40-60 Range
