Had with roast chicken. A translucent ruby color. Aroma of minerals, earth, anise, and red fruits, which become a touch candied after several hours in the decanter. After these hours, the nose is a bit hot as well. Palate is medium to light bodied, with red fruits and earth. I do notice a touch of a green edge on the finish, which I find surprising given the vintage. It's fairly low acid with more than enough tannins for this village. I wouldn't put much stock in this getting much better (the alcohol and green edge don't bode well), but it's not half bad now considering the price ($15).

Still able to deliver a pleasant drink, even at this advanced age.
Lighter body style as expected with cherries in aroma and flavor.
