Beautiful wine. Much more weight, color, and body than most roses. The PN grape comes through beautifully. Very food friendly. Good balance between fruit, non-fruit characteristics, and acidity. I wish I had more bottles.

Much darker, deeper red than a usual rosé, thanks to its varietal of origin. Pinot noir flavor across the palate, yet refreshingly rosé in character. Yum!

A great rose from this little producer tucked into a Valley in the Corralitos region of Santa Cruz Mountains, just southeast of Santa Cruz (developing a reputation for pinot noirs). Tasted at the winery and bought a few bottles - so this is my second taste. Strawberry color but with a hint of light brown suggesting something more serious than the typical rose. It has legs clinging to the glass with swirl! Astoundingly fruity nose of strawberry, raspberry, and a little oak. Mouthfeel equals that of an excellent red pinot noir -- silky, surprisingly rich, and long. Flavors are fruit-filled and persistent. My only quibble would be there's just a tiny touch of heat. Perfect right now if you live somewhere where the summer evening turns cool as it grows dark, calling for something a little "bigger" than the average rose quaffer.
