Not the complexity you would expect from a Spring Mountain AVA bottling from the very great 2013 vintage. It lacks the tannic backbone one would hope for. However, a very enjoyable drink and I’m not sorry I picked up a dozen at the ~$20 Costco price. Luscious red and blue fruit is right where it needs to be now and for 5 or so years to come. The cocoa powder is a nice backdrop.

A little better than the last couple of these tasted. Still presents as a mid-level Valley floor bottling, not Spring Mountain AVA.
