highly perfumed nose with spice at the forefront , the palate is long and fresh but not fruity, quite dry and a little watery definitely lacking in fruit but the nose is gorgeous with dark fruit and spice wafting from the glass - my first ever taste of a pavie Maquin , I’m interested to see how other vintages compare
I am not a right-bank fan - or put it this way - I am not experienced yet but this one was a beauty. 2014 Bordeaux from the left bank have this striking watery taste and feeling on your palate, which was not the case with the Pavie Macquin. Nice fruity notes with perfectly balanced tannins, dancing the tango with the acidity made this wine a perfect pleasure yesterday evening. Finish was long, but not extraordinary. Complexity was there but not outstanding, which made it an enjoyable wine for every palate imho. Just entered the drinking window, had it popped 30 minutes before pouring it in our glasses - amazing. Definitely going to add some to my cellar.

Really nice with some tobacco and mushroom notes and nice long finish.
