Weakest of the lot today. Some (SF) saw Pomerol-like qualities, I beg to differ. Au contraire! - this is quite lean, tight, cool, peecise, but a wee bit unforgiving, herbal. It might come around, but I am not sure, if there is enough ripe fruit here.

Nose of barnyard, red cherry, currants, and boysenberry, same on the palate, medium/big body, close to peak, easily hold another 7 years, mouth filling fruit, elegant, very tasty, and a medium/long finish and rich aftertaste.

A wonderfully elegant, pure, dark fruited classy BDX. It's thrown a decent sediment and opens up nicely after a few hours in a decanter. Still evidently young, but the balance is so good and the tannins so fine that it's an understated delight to drink now...but having only 3 bottles left I really need to forget about it for a few years so that I can experience some of its glorious maturity that undoubtedly lies ahead. I think I prefer the '14 to the '08 which seems built along the same lines. Fine, fine wine!

Decent but generally disappointed. Kind of flabby and soft. That’s mostly what I remember about it. Might not have been the best bottle.
