  • Pichon has always been a favorite, and so its a thrill to open one of age and see it perform. I doubt this will get any better, it's well into secondary and beyond, cigar, leather, cedar, dark chocolate, lengthy complex finish.

  • Opened and drank across 3 hours. Very fresh and fruity nose of red and black fruit with some leather and tobacco the longer it was in the decanter. Nice well rounded classic bordeaux with a medium finish and flavors of black/red fruit, leather and tobacco. This could last another 6-10 years.

  • Medium-deep reddish garnet in color with some clearing at the edges. Fragrant, attractive, & aromatic nose of well developed, mature and complex aromas of dark cherries, blueberries, cassis and plums with floral overtones of violets and lavender, classic cigar box notes of cedar and aged tobacco, spice notes of cinnamon & cloves, herbal notes of juniper & sage, earthy, olives & minerals. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of mature, developed & complex, supple & elegant, silky smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sweet cherries, tart mulberries, some cassis & dark plums with spices, earthy, cocoa & minerals. Long, lingering polished finish. Drinks quite well at present and is at its peak of development but should hold at its current plateau for several more years.
