Appearance; brownish-red, clear ,bright Nose; perfumed, floral, Palate; perfumed, white flower, some fruit, low acid and angular tannins , short finish, I have had better bottles , perhaps this is not as good as previous bottles unidimensional ,ok, not memorable
Julien S-M's 1990 Bordeaux (RSJ, London): Blind. Sweet, meaty fruit, floral and fragrant. Denser on the palate, a slight hint of dryness near the front of the finish before easing up and showing more rounded and slightly sweet fruit. Pav Rouge? There is a depth and density here, but it's not showing as well as at the Brighton Palmer bash. ***1/2

(Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux Margaux) A dark, maturing hue. This is quite distinct from the other wines, with a floral, elegant nose, like rose-petals edged with toffee. Full flavoured palate, with a creamy, fat texture. Plenty of structured to underpin this, with spicy tannins which show especially on the finish. Some elegance is apparent. This is very typical of the commune, and extremely good wine.
