A year-and-a-half between bottles has helped a bit. The nose is earthier, and it just feels more rounded on the palate. It still doesn't blow me away like their River of Skulls does, but it's a damn fine wine all the same. Don't know if I'll give my last bottle another 18+ months, but I don't think this is near the end of its window yet.

It's good, but for what I expect from Twisted Oak, it's just kind of ... ORDINARY. It's got a pleasantly spicy/hot cinnamon candy nose, and good solid fruit on the tongue, but it just doesn't leap out and grab me the way a lot of their wines seem to. I've got two more bottles of this ... will probably let them hang a while longer, see if they change.
