PnP after decant, 15 min glass time. Clear, bright purple/ruby color. Beautiful nose. Ideal drinking window, well integrated/balanced, med body, red/black fruit profile, long finish. One could drink this all day. Nothing off. $106 winery direct.

I was surprised by the spike of red fruit that lighted up my taste buds! That solid core persisted and persisted. It's either something you love or hate I guess. The wine is very pure and expressive of a Russian River pinot. I wish we had more of this one to follow its development over the next 4 to 5 years. I think the professional critics were too low in their scoring of this wine.

I usually wait about 5 years before consuming a KB and will continue to do so after drinking this. It's a fun wine when young but not up to its potential. Slightly disjointed but needs more time to balance out a bit.

Tasty raspberry and black cherry aromas and flavors with hint of oak and vanilla, with a touch of heat on the moderate finish.

Quite nice, but didn't seem quite as expressive as some of the other bottles of 2013 that I have had.
