  Medium ruby red in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of ripe red fruits of cherries, raspberries and currants with smoky & earthy overtones of loam & forest floor, some floral notes of roses, tea, exotic Asian spices, minerals and a slight hint of vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, smooth textured, ripe red fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries & currants with earthiness, spices, minerals, a touch of vanilla & toasty oak. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and has some limited room for further development with several more years of aging.
