Eðalklúbbur, vínsmakk #4 vor 2017 (Marbakkabraut 12): Meðaldökkur litur. Farinn að sjást aldur í vínjaðri. Það fyrsta sem ég fann var tyggjólykt (juicy fruit). Annars var mikil eik, útihús (ekki fjós), bleiuskiptalykt, brennisteinn (sem hvarf svo). Í munni dökkir tónar, jörð. Það voru skiptar skoðanir um hvaðan þetta vín gæti vín gæti verið. Skeggi var alveg með þetta hann sagði að þetta væri frá einhverju lítt þekktu héraði á Ítalíu og það reyndist hárrétt. Áhugavert að hafa smakkað þetta vín.

Sorry, but this wine has fallen off a cliff at 60p and left us WANTING! However a few days of drank AND under medieval cork, this completely crumbled into acidic foul juice... Huwwa! Whilst a two-week bottle of Tetorigawa Junmaishu ruled our worlds...
I beg to differ w/anyone supporting this foul juice...

while a nice bouquet, never amounted to much, from opening to decanting. Don't think it needs more time; maybe drank too late. 24 hrs later: what was left in the decanter was integrated and a solid drink, but little left on the nose. Maybe somewhere in the middle works. In retrospect: perhaps the best approach is to wait another 5 years.....

Fabulous aroma of sweaty cheese, old socks, mature gentleman and fulvin silat genom Robert Gustafssons fulölstrumpa. This is quite amazing in the best of ways. On the minus side (our taste) is a lack of tannic expression and the move towards flaccid Bgn love. Difficult to enjoy fully for that flaccidness (our palates, sorry), but a great wine nevertheless.
Even the worst selection of poor Nihonshu as in low quality "Oni Koroshi" (demon death) scores higher on our scales...
Aromas beat palate experience as in K.O. But, as we prefer drinking to snorting, this wine is not a winner... I have to admit, though, that 91p is quite a high score. Shikashi, I deliver the score with kind love to the wine maker. Objectively, this is 90+.
Happy to have enjoyed it. Happy to not have a case. If you have it before 2020, should be a treat, especially if you enjoy flaccid things :-)))
...and also if you enjoy stale, cheezy aromas.

Less fruity than when we first drank this, but still great.
